ecoSYNTH: from fungiverse to metaverse Vorspiel 2024 x CTM

Over the course of three days, artists, researchers and activists came together at TOP e.V. in Berlin to engage in a hybrid laboratory of multispecies storytelling, synthetic ecologies, and immersive technologies.

ecoSYNTH’s live performances merged movement, sound, and organic interfaces, creating multisensory experiences that blurred the line between human, machine, and non-human entities—a negotiation between bodies, matter, and algorithms.

With a program that wove together bioart, ecoperformances, and immersive XR experiences, ecoSYNTH functioned as a hybrid bio-laboratory, featuring works that embraced the unpredictability of living systems, non-human narratives, the decay of synthetic materials, and the generative power of fungal intelligence.

As the Official Embassy of The Wrong Biennale, ecoSYNTH hosted the pavilion:
